A 2015 New Brunswick Building Code Update

In 2021, New Brunswick adopted the 2015 Building Code.
​

Want to learn more about what changes are implemented and the impacts these changes will have?
This webinar will  provide a better understanding of the 2015 updates. These changes are applicable to the major Fire and Life Safety (Part 3) requirements in the National Building Code of Canada (NBC).

This webinar will provide information on the follow topics:
  • Evolution and mechanics of Code development and adoption across Canada.
  • Midrise (6 storey) combustible Residential and Office buildings, 
  • Protection of foamed plastics, 
  • Smoke dampers and air-leakage, 
  • Self-storage buildings, 
  • Revised fire performance (Appendix D) calculations for the Component additive method (CAM), 
  • Exit capacities and minimum distance between exit doors, 
  • Electromagnetic locking hardware, 
  • Harmonizing requirements for stairs, ramps, handrails and guards, affecting both Part 3 and Part 9 buildings.
